How It Started
Years ago, our family made a meaningful shift in how we approached the holidays. We realized that our most treasured gifts weren't the ones wrapped under the tree, but the experiences we shared together. This revelation sparked a beautiful new tradition.

For years we took our children out early on Black Friday—not only shopping for family gifts, but also hunting for discounted toys that we could share with families in our community. Our kids absolutely loved the excitement: the anticipation as crowds gathered before store openings, the cheerful chaos as doors finally opened, and the thrill of discovering the perfect gifts at amazing prices.

We also had another cherished tradition. Each Christmas Eve, we'd make a spontaneous dash to our local Target for a last-minute shopping spree, gathering gifts to surprise random families in our community on Christmas Day. The joy on both the givers' and recipients' faces made these impromptu missions unforgettable.

Eventually, we realized we could multiply our impact by combining these two beloved traditions into something even more special. We chose the Friday after Thanksgiving—a day when we're all reminded to give thanks for our blessings—as the perfect time to channel that gratitude into action.

What started as a family tradition has blossomed into an annual community event. We've opened our doors to friends, neighbors, and anyone who shares our passion for giving back. Each year, we welcome more teams and are able to provide gifts for even more families in need.

The participants are paired up and race against the clock to find the best deals and gather gifts for local families. After a day of giving thanks for all we have, everyone can now enjoy a morning dedicated to GIVING to others.
